Zimbabwe, located between the Limpopo and Zambezi Rivers, is country which is endowed with amazing natural beauty. Studded with plateaus and replete with fabulous landscapes of grasslands and mountains, Zimbabwe is an ideal tourist location if you want to relax to your heart’s content. Attractions:

  1. Harare: Harare, the Zimbabwean capital is the country’s most popular attraction on any vacation package to the country. In spite of being the commercial and industrial hub of the country, the city is classy and clean. Walking down Harare, packed with flowering trees, vibrant parks and contemporary parks is an experience in its own. You could also visit the art gallery and modern museum and the Larvon Bird garden, which attract a number of tourists from across the world. The fabulous climate of Harare has led to its nick name of being called the sunshine city.
  2. Victoria Falls: If you want to be in the adventure Mecca of Africa, Victoria Falls is the place to be in. On your journey down to the falls, you will find Vervet monkeys, baboons and warthogs. You might bump in to elephants too when you are close to the falls. River cruising, rafting, canoeing and mountain biking are practiced in this region all throught the year. You could also witness game views at the Chobe Game Park. Bird safaris also are a major attraction for tourists who don’t have much of an adrenalin rush.
  3. Bulawayo: This city is a major tourist spot for all cheap vacation package travelers. The industrial, commercial and tourist hub has been famous since historic times. Bulawayo is home to Zimbabwe’s National Railways and National Museum. The Khami ruins situated near this historical city are an interesting visit for anyone. Rhodes matapos National Park well known for stone work builders attract more people to Bulawayo. Besides, there are caves with superb rock print in them and dams have been made for a perfect fishing experience, which also have added in attracting the tourist that flock to the city all year round.

Climate: Though the country is situated near the tropics, it has temperate climate all through the year. The months of August to October are dry while it rains heavily from November to March.

Landing and taking off: You can avail most international flights from Nairobi. These are managed by the Jomo Kenyatta International airport .Here you will get domestic flights at Wilson airport.

Internal Transportation: Domestic flights connect most of the big cities. Intercity buses, official car hires or even bikes are available if you want to commute on road. The National Railways touch the major tourist, commercial and international hubs too.

Communication: Zimbabwe once boasted of the best telephone services till they deteriorated in recent times. The country code is 263. Internet connectivity is scantily available.

Currency-Zimbabwe Dollar is the currency of this country. American Express, Visa and Diners’ Club cards are mostly accepted. You can exchange traveler’s cheques at most hotels.

Time- Zimbabwean time runs two hours ahead of the GMT.
