Currency: The Thai Baht is used as the local currency. Traveler’s cheques can be exchanged at any bank or hotel. You can also use your credit card widely in all malls, departmental stores and up-market restaurants.

Time: The Thais follow the same time as their neighbors Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, being 7 hours ahead of the GMT.

Heath Information: You don’t particularly need to get vaccinated unless you come from areas that are contaminated. However, it is advisable to get yourself immunized against polio, typhoid, tetanus and hepatitis A and B.
